Hi - when I first got my 1983 484 about 4 months ago it had lots of power. I loaded the bucket with about 450 lbs of old roofing material and hauled it off to the town transfer station, up some steep hills about 2.5 miles distant and back. No problem on the hills in 3rd gear high range.
About three weeks ago it suddenly developed a no power condition: I have to almost slip the clutch to get it going in LO/2nd gear.
Could I be suffering from a clogged injector and if so, how do I diagnose that? It is a three cylinder diesel with an estimated 5800 hours on it. It starts readily in 25 degree weather and smokes a little when first started. Idles at about 650 RPM and is very frugal on fuel.
