Are you talking about the "low pressure side"?(The side with the fitting going to the carb)That diaphram had a metal tip that was made so it could wiggle a little bit and the tip fit into the end of a lever that would close a valve. There was a stamped steel plate between the main housing and this diaphram. On what I'm calling the "high pressure side", ( with the fitting coming from the tank) there was a heavy spring that held the inlet valve open unless closed by pressure of the LP inside the vaporizer. That diaphram I did not actually remove from the main body as it was stuck pretty good and I was afraid of tearing it. The one on the "Low pressure side" came off with just a little encouragement. Do you mean to rotate the diaphram and re-install it? The stamped steel plate only goes on one way due to an a second offset hole that lines up with a hole in the main casting. Now that it hasn't run in a couple of days I need to turn on the valve again and see if it holds. I have to work today but I may try to call you if I get a break.
