Vinyl cut is bare between the letters. Vinyl cut looks like painted letters. Some people clear coat them after installation because it gives more of a painted on look, I have never tried that. You simply have mylar and vinyl reversed--and you don't put vinyl on in sections, as the material between the letters does not stick, it peels off and leaves the sticky letters. Much less chance of messing up.
