Another quick comment. Most of the tractors sold in the 20s and 30s on steel have been converted to rubber, just like this H. On original Farmall and F-20, the only way to keep the "narrow" setting of the wheels was to use 36" rims to replace the 40" steel wheels. The result was a tire that was much larger in diameter than the steel wheel. Speeds in each gear went up a lot. Some F-20s (and -30s, too, I guess) had a smaller tire, but the rims had to be turned OUT permanently. VERY wide tractor, but the speeds would have been closer to original. One problem with these converted wheels is that they are light. IH and others tried to add some weight to the rears by using a cast wheel on the F-12/14 and H and M. There were additional axle-mounted weights available, too, as I recall. I vividly remember an F-20 I used to use that would slip a lot in heavy plowing--no water in tires, and no weights added to the wheels.
