Dan: I doubt if the word Frameall was ever used other than as a mis spelling. I've read two different books on the history of Farmall development, and the work done by E.A. Johnston and C.W. Mott in that development and subsequent patent applications. At no time in either book, was the word Frameall ever used.
I can only conclude that if E.A. Johnston never used the word Frameall, it never existed other than a mis spelling. The Farmall was Mr. Johnston's baby, he was the engineer involved in the development of the Farmall from day one. By the mid 1920 he probably was Mr. Farmall. He started his career with IH around 1894 and I believe he was with the company close to 50 years. He has over 160 patents to his credit at his time with IH.
