Gene, Before I had rotator cuff surgery some friends (and a b-i-l) scared the bejeebers out of me by describing all the pain and long recovery I was going to have. I followed the physical therapy exercises very religiously and my recovery was a nearly pain-free breeze. That shoulder is now more flexible that the other one. Makes me wonder if I should have the "normal shoulder" worked on! Eight days after the surgery I rode my mower very slowly and cut some grass....never did tell the Dr. about that. Sure made the wife mad, though. LA
