Assuming she all wired up correct BEFORE you start it momentarily use a lil wire jumper etc. to flash/jump from the Voltage Regulators BAT terminal over to its ARM/GEN terminal n you oughta get a lil spark.
If the VR's ARM/GEN terminal is hard to get at without accidentally shorting out, jump a wire from the VR BAT terminal direct to the Gennys ARM post.
On tractors with a 2 wire Cutout relay versus a 3 or 4 terminal VR, same thing basically, jump BAT terminal over to ARM/GEN or else the gennys ARM post itself.
If you cant easily get to a VR or Cutout relay, jump any hot ungrounded battery wire (like say on a starter switch/solenoid input) direct to the Gennsy ARM post n get the spark.
I sometimes say to first dead ground the gennys FLD post but thats usually NOT necessary.
