Hi I bought a 1950 W4,it has a magneto. The wiring looks original, which is not good - all battery cable insulation is cracking and coming off. I plan on buying a new harness from Jim - Agri services in NY, and new battery cables. I am trying to get the starter off. I read previous posts that the belt pulley has to be removed this is definitely the case. The wiring is strange. The positive cable goes directly to the starter all alone. The negative cable goes back to the start button. Is this right? I know very little about magneto system wiring. Thanks in advance Ken
