An earlier response I posted jogged my memory. Both my Dad's 1066 and 856 will freewheel with the TA lever back on a downhill grade.
Neither TA has seen that many hours since it was replaced, and both have done it since they were replaced. He complained to the CaseIH dealer that did the job, and their response was, "That's the way they are."
Baloney. The 756's TA works perfectly. Holds in both positions. They didn't do something right, we both know it.
