Hi everyone. I am going to need to overhaul the waterpump on my M.
If there is someone out there who is familiar with the construction of this pump: I was wondering if it is possible to replace the two greaseable ball bearings in the pump with sealed ball bearings.
I have seen in a supply catalog where a company is offering rebuilt pumps with sealed bearings.
I can see some possible advantages: no grease seals to install, no greasing of the pump bearings (would still have to grease for the impeller shaft) and best of all no grease flying around the fan blade and radiator.
Would anyone know what bearing number this would require?
