Simple test. Start the tractor and run at 1/2 throttle. Use a jumper wire or test lead to ground the small "F" terminal on the generator. Go to a good ground. If it now shows a good charge, the regulator probably needs to be replaced (or points cleaned in it with 240 paper). If it does not I suggest using John T's charging System diagnosis procedure. Use the search for box and put in John T charging system. JimN
