I put a 300 with 350 pistons & sleeves in my H. Used the flywheel from the 300 (had to drive the starter ring gear to the back edge of the flywheel so the starter drive would fully engage, you can measure this) put in a new super h clutch, pressure plate, and pilot bearing, (the 300 bearing is different). The H & super H clutch and flywheel will work but super h and 300 are 10 1/2", H is 10", the late H may also be 10 1/2"(if you are going to pull it hard I would go with the 10 1/2".
You will need the air cleaner and the pipe to the carburator from a super H, the h pipe is to small to fit the 300 carburator.
There is no fitting in the back of the 300 head to connect with the air cleaner inlet pipe, it vents through the valve cover. A couple of fittings and a hose will fix this.
Use the fan off of the H, 300 fan is to large in diameter, 300 water pump works.
I may have forgotten something but don't think so. My e-mail is open if you need anything else. Dave
