Latest findings..... Filter (bowl) under fuel tank wasn"t letting fuel through intermittently. I can"t work out how to remove this without taking the whole tank off. Blew it out with an air compressor and emptied all the waste out the bottom nut.
Placed an inline fuel cartridge in with a clear body so that I can see the fuel flowing.
Bled the tractor and it started first time. Runs better than it ever has.
Took it for a test drive, up some hills etc didn"t stop once. Hooked the boat up to it this morning, and only got about 500 meters down the road and it died again.
I am going to have a look at the diesel fuel injector pump filter and see if that is blocked too.
Only seems to be when under load it dies.
I don"t think it is air in the fuel lines, I introduced an air leak the other day, and the tractor didn"t miss a beat when sucking in air.
