Steven: Thanks for moving the photo over here. I've really never put a lot of effort into posting photos on discussion pages, thus when the time came, it didn't work.
I wish K-Mo would come back with his photo, even comments. I don't think it is the same device. At least I can't imagine an external shaft from the device in my photo bypassing the transmission.
I've also seen a two speed gear box designed to fit in the torque tube of a Super A. Then there is the IH two speed gear box designed for use in the torque tube of the 404. That one should work on an offset, however I expect one has to use the 404 torque tube. Problem with both of those devices, they also reduce PTO speed when in low side. It may be time to start a new thread, inviting guys to post photos of creeper gear devices for offsets. I'd also like to get to the bottom of this one in the photo, and as Sam states there is cast in place print on the gear box. Hopfully someone can do as Sam suggests. I had a guy, seeing this discussion, ask me yesterday where the photo was. He was interested in learning more. I think we should take this a few steps more, so many times items like this gear box seem to die without resolve.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
