I know this will be hard to explain but here goes it.
Starting to put back everything on the rear end. The counter shaft has a bearing on both ends, I have the new bearings and the countershaft installed, but it seems I can move the whole assembly with the bearings side to side if I tap on it with a rubber mallet. Is this normal? I know the front retainer keeps it from moving forward, does the pto shaft keep it tight the other way? I can't figure out what is wrong if anything.
