I have not priced a T/A assembly from IH lately. They can also be rebuilt with parts purchased thru IH. Rebuilt units can be purchased from places selling after market parts,catalog retailers and salvage yards-usually starting @500.00 and up plus your core(existing t/a).Ive heard nothing bad about these rebuilds but Im not sure who is rebuilding the units for the retailer perhaps HY-Capacity out of Humboldt Iowa. However my personal preference is CaseIH-and Im no millionaire, however I have always complained about the price,but praised the product. The real expense will be the installation of the unit (splitting the tractor).I will let sombody else take that one.I take too much time to do mine
