I am restoring the above model and found the idiot lights work as well as the fuel gauge. However, the temp part of the cluster doesn't. Someone has cut the sending cabel off approx. 6 inches under the cover rendering it useless. A new cluster cost anywhere from $175 to $225.I was wondering if someone could tell me if you could cut a 2" hole in the dash under the cluster and use a IH temp gauge from a 460 or 560 say. What about the sending unit screwing in the block? Would love your input. Thanks Jerry
