It was about 10 above and I was going to throw some snow. Started the tractor, but none of the hydraulics work. I let it run almost 1 hour but still no go (I have a heat houser on it which I thought might help). Supposed to get another 10 degrees warmer so will try again this afternoon. It has been quite cold this past week, down to -24 degrees. I put in new fluid last fall, and also put a new hydraulic pump on it last fall. Now the fluid is almost white again.
First question, when you guys change fluid do you drain any hoses or just the transmission and reservoir? Second question, can I, or did I, hurt anything by letting it run with the hydraulics not working? Third question, where would you guess it is froze at (if I need to try to get more heat on it)?
