I doubt if you hurt the system. The pump rund the distributor, and it was probaably not completely dry in the pump housing. I would not put alcohol in the Hytran. The rubber and other components would not like it at all. It would also probable loosen a bunch of sedentary sediment and cause it to plague the system with dirt. Heat with a portable heater and some protection is probably the solution of choice. Removing a few gallons into a pan, then heating to drive off the moisture would help also. Many stories in the archives on ridding oil of H2O. Getting it all out when changing is tough. Good luck, JimN
