Whats the secret to getting the Range cover back on a Farmall 806? Is the reverse shaft supposed to be installed in the frame and the cover set on or should the shaft be in the cover and inserted into the frame? When I finally got it all lined up (Putting the cover on with reverse shaft in the cover), it stopped about 1/4" from going all the way down. I thought it was the reverse shaft fitting tight in the shift fork and I gave it a few light taps with a hammer and long story short I popped the cast cam. So now I'm waiting on a new cam to come. Its one of those things that just really ticks you off and I really don't see how I even broke it with just a few light taps of a hammer. Anyway, I don't want to do this again, so any tips and tricks would be appreciated.
