Your 986 should have a 436 non Turbo and 1086 has a 414 Turbo . The pumps are interchangeable however the 986 pump if stock should have a 9mm plunger in the hyd. head of the pumpand the 1086 should have a 10mm . All this mean is the 1086 pump will probably put out more fuel. You can back the fuel down on a 10mm pump to be very close to a 9mm. I would put the 1086 pump on and try it just how it is.You can change the fuel setting with the pump on the engine.
