There is one company that still specifies "special" break in oil for the first 100 hours on a new engine. John Deere. I think it is supposed to help the rings seat better who knows. I always use the oil that I'am going to be using in the tractor and change it after the first few hours to get out any left over grit or filings. From then on just normal change intervals and don't worry about it.
