With an additional set of gears in the front of the transmission the direct set keeps everything as designed When shifted to overdrive it increases the speed of the bottom transmission shaft,That speeds up all gears,the pto and the belly pump as they are both driven from the bottom shaft,The engineer that designed the double pin shift was very intelligent.
