Use some clear silicone seal to build up a ridge completely around the coil nose in back of where the nipple goes on the coil. This will eliminate the arcing you are getting in the coil area. We used this fix on the 450 way back when, & it's still holding. Make sure that the coil to dist. cap wire is good. When the dist. to coil wire is bad, it creates a high resistance & the high voltage will take the easiest path to ground. Make sure the coil nose is dry before putting the silicone on.
