I have found the oil pump to be the problem a lot of times. If condensation or any water sets in the bottom of the pump freezing will push the bottom plate down.just 2 thousands will make a large difference, Now I always take the pump to have it machined to the right clearance, My first experience with this was I had just purchased a 330 utility with very little oil pressure. The tractor had about 2000 hrs on it and I bought it from a neighbor who had a farm sale and kept the 330 to take to town. It had set in his town garage for several years.and hadn't been started more than 2 or 3 times. Luckily I talked to the shop foreman at our dealership, he advised taking the pump to the machine shop for refitting. Then I had full guage oil pressure at hot idle.
