Because the Precleaner is a IH accessory (not standard equipment, but often ordered by the dealer if the tractor was to be put into inventory, or ordered if the tractor was "custom" ordered by the purchaser through the dealer) there is no correct orientation. There are pictures of the installed intake, but I do not know if instructions that say which direction it needs to be. The intake of air is still under the pipe in an anular set of fins, so it would make no difference which way it faced. If it was out sideways toward the left, it would still not get out past the side of the hood, but might be more likely to be hit by branches. JimN
