Hey, sorry you're having problems. Unless someone pipes up here with all the specs you'll need, looks like you need to buy a manual for that thing. You can probably find a copy somewhere on this site. Like the top left column where it says tractor manuals. But on most timing issues on any engine, #1 needs to be TDC and there is usually a mark on the crank pulley, and there is usually a corresponding mark on the cam. Never worked on diesels though, so I could be wrong.
Also on the left, down a ways, there is a link marked "Tune up specs", you'll probably be wanting those at some point assuming that they cover your tractor. Good luck!
