I was able to use this puller to remove the valves from the Touch Control block.
It is a 4" long, 1/4" carriage bolt with the head ground down to 1/2" dia. A 3/4"-1" long piece of 1/4" or 3/8" gas line makes the expanding bushings (1/4" for the inner valves, 3/8" for the outer). A 5/16" washer and 1/4" nut squashes the bushing. The double nuts on top gives something to hold while squashing the bushing.
Tighten it until the valve will turn and then wind it down a few turns more. Once it is tight enough, turn the puller while pulling up.
