in-to-deep: I have 1975 buyers guide and it was still 574 for 1975. The 86 series tractors came in late 76 or early 77. I think the 84 series was introduced about the same time. I think your last 6 digits are the actual serial number so 8038 would be 1st or 2nd year. That is as close as I can come.
