That would work but be pretty clumsey to engineer and attach. Here is a second idea working off of your's. Using two IH old fashoned Liftall cylinders, attach one to the rock shaft, so the rock shaft pushes it in, connect the other to the mower to cause lift from pressure, and gravity lower. With the air bled out, it becomes a master and slave system that would be less complex. The cylinders may be pretty common. JimN
