I ain't had much school housin an all but. If a 706 in road the TA should be forward thus direct drive. Given the speed of the truck there should have been skid marks on the gravel or grass or pavment. This should show where the tractor was on impact, and the angle the tractor was to the pavment.
I would also assume the tread on the tractor front and rear wheels should show a little flaking or scuffing of the rubber and give a little insight to the angle of the hit.
All these factors can be overlooked by the patrolman and the correct information overlooked. I'm not so sure that what the guy is looking for has anything to do with the case. Yet you know that this will be explained to a judge that has no idea of anything other than court procedure.
I once testified to a judge that the size of a manure pit was ten ft wide, sixteen ft long and approx one foot high on one side and flat floor on the other. It was indeed a gathering point in a cow yard to get a spreader full, and to cornner the manure in. So if you think right is right in a court room you got another think a coming. The judge said NOW THAT IS A BIG MANURE PIT!
