Thanks HughB and Jrry for the replies, and much needed info. What surprises. First we thought the machine was a mid fifties model. Nice to know it's 10 years newer. Next surprise is the picture which showing the front end with the tie rods behind the axle. Ours has em in front where they run into saplings when bush hogging, and get bent. Do you think somebody put the spindle assys on the worng ends of the center tube? Also, the wishbone appears to be welded to the top of the axle. Ours goes through holes in the axle and is held in place by a stop flange on the back and a nut on the front. The holes are what determines the castor angle and that has kept me from thinking about turning the whole assembly around. I wonder if this thing could have come from an industrial tractor. Sure doesn't look like the picture, and it is painted yellow. Sorry if I seem to be rambling. Just thinking out loud I guess. Strange setup for sure.
