Starting going through my carb tonight and found many issues. No spring on the float needle, clogged passages and many other impurities floating around. but.... The biggest issue I am up against is the float needle seat is locked in solid. I tried without success to turn it out but after opening the slot twice the original width with my screwdriver, I had no choice but to drill it open. The brass is still wedged in the threads especially on one side of the hole. After taking some measurements on the new seat, it looks as though it is not a fine pitch 3/8-24 but a special .35-24 . Is this correct? How have you guys gotten these locked up seat bodies out??? Any help would be appreciated.
