Yep, the cast wheel on one side and pressed on the other side was fairly common on the As, to help balance the offset.
I'm goin' back to the originals just because mine was a family tractor and I'm puttin' it back as close to original for appearance and function as my pocketbook and temperament allow. (Now, if I can just track down the old cultivators and get the exhaust lift rigged and runnin'!) One of the original rims was good. The other had had the bolts welded to the brackets on the rim, as the bolts apparently got loose once and egged out the holes on the wheel. I couldn't save the brackets in gettin' the two apart to see why they were welded in the first place.
My neighbor is gonna take my replacements to put on his Bolens. He wants to be able to swap out between turf and ag tires without havin' to have everything knocked off and remounted twice a year.
