Clean the sealing surfaces perfectly, I mean absolutley free of any oil or mess. Run a bead of grey silicone (permanent adhesive stuff) around the lip, being sure to get around the threaded holes good, and let it sit and get tacky to the touch. You want it to dry just to the point of where it doesn't stick to your finger when you touch it put is still soft and sticky.
Set the cover back down on this and tighten her up. Makes a great seal.
