I've never had a Super A apart. However the Super H and M crank pulley hub have a straight (no shoulder/groove) hub sealing surface. I suspect your S/A's pulley hub is similar.
One repair option is to install a speedy sleeve as you suggest.
Another option - depending on the thickness of the replacment seal and if the new one is thinner - is to position the new seal in the front cover so the seal lip rides on an unworn portion of the pulley hub.
I've had good luck with this method on tranny shaft seals on both my Farmalls and my old Minnie-Mo U.
