Bobs diagrams can be confusing to some, but the yare generally easy to follow. You need 1 heavy gauge wire, 00 or 0, from the battery to the ground, then another from the battery to your big brass switch, then from the switch to the starter. Thats all, nothing more to get it to turn over. For starting, all you need is to run a wire from the battery to your coil, but if you prefer, you can wire in the switch by going from the battery to the push/pull switch, then to the coil. I didnt say polarity on purpose, since Ithought you were going with 12 volt at one point, and for that you need - ground, but to get it running it doesnt matter.
