With more info as to the loader being lift pressure only, M's suggestion to put a shutoff valve in the line going to the loader is sensible. It might be necessary to put a similar valve in the line going to the 2 Way valve (Xmas Tree)it may be open center, bleeding all pressure to return unless shut off. I do not think this would be "period" correct, as I don't think there is any "correct". I would also remind that the valve would be a safety issue in that the loader would need to be raised when the valve was closed. This would allow the loader to (possibly) drop if the valve was turned while the loader was up, either stationary, or moving. JimN
