I have a brush mower I inherited when I bought my '44 A. It 5' and it's so old I don't know what make it is. It does not have any name on it anywhere. Looks like it may even be shop built. I worked with the guy I bought it from and he said he mowed all the time with it with no problem. I have questions: 1.) Is a 5/16” Grade 5 bolt from Lowe’s okay for the shear bolt on the PTO coupling? 2.) I have a shop made drawbar on it and it hooks up good to the mower. I plan on hooking up chain from the back of the mower deck to the back of the tractor to keep the new tailwheel assembly I bought just touching the ground. Two steel bars from front of tractor to drawbar, does this setup sound okay? 3.) The stuff I need to mow is not very thick. Other than taking care of the mower pushing the tractor, is there any other things I need to be aware of? Thanks, everyone, Larry.
