I wrote a couple days ago about my 1967 Farmall 706 with a German Diesel engine. First off thank you for your advice. I had the batteries checked and one of the batteries had a bad cell in it. So, I replaced it. I had the alternator checked and the dealership stated it was good. It did not reach the 14.0 -14.5 range. I asked the question about the 14.0-14.5 range and they said that the alternator was good. I also replaced the voltage regulator. When I started the tractor yesterday I noticed that the AMP tellite is now blinking when the tractor is at idle. The tellite never used to be on or blink at idle. What does the blinking AMP tellite mean? It has to get up about around half throttle before the tellite goes off? This morning the tractor still had problems starting but is was better than a couple of days ago.
