Well, it's no longer stuck. I had been soaking the cylinders with kerosene, so today I took a crow bar to the flywheel and miracle of miracles, it moved. Then I was able to turn the rear wheel about 1/8 turn in the clockwise direction (if you are standing in front). Then it made a hard stop. I cranked it in the opposite direction with the flywheel and was able to move it past the 1/8 but always got the hard stop going in the other direction. So I decided to take the head off before I messed something up. Got it stripped down and removed the head bolts. Found the very front push rod is bent. After I loosened the head bolts I can spin the engine around but there's a clank sound once in every revolution. So the head is loose but I can't pull it off the studs even using a lift. I can get it up about 1/4 - 3/8 inch but even with a leveler I'm having trouble pulling straight up. Any hints? Is this a two man job? Calling it quits today; may have to wait 'til the weekend. Don't touch that dial...
