Rebuilding the engine on a 1944 H model. SN-179201. My cylinder head casting# is 8776. The valve kit that was sent to my from Valu-Built, has springs guides and valves that are too long (Intake and ex. valves are 5.335" or 5 23/64") My valves measure Int. 5.060 (5 1/16")Ex. 5.080 (5 5/64}My service manual shows this length to be for a combination gasoline-distilate cyl. head. My int/ex manifold looks like a combination gas/distilate manifold, though there is no auxiliary tank for the "start up Gasoline" Can anyone confirm this? Can anyone give me a source for the proper guides, valves and springs? Also can the longer guides be used with the shorter valves? ( the machine shop has already installed the longer guides before they realized that the valves and springs were too long.) Thanks for any help I can get.- Jon
