Or find the latest and earliest date codes on your tractor and try to find one in between. Looking for Apr 26 1953 may be asking too much. IH was building maybe 50/day at that time. Looking at two months on either side of 4/26, maybe 5-6000 tractors would have casting codes that were close enough to yours, depending on the days/week the factory was operating.
