I have used the "oil burners" before to slow fouling on the rear plugs on an old Chevy 350. They worked for my cause, but there was a disclaimer on the package. "Only use on up to 1/2 of total cylinders", ie: 2 on 4 cylinder, 4 on V-8. It said that the engine would run too hot with these on all cylinders.
