It pains me to ask for help on this subject, but I'm at a stand still. My M was running rough so I thought this would be a good time to replace the points and condenser since the tractor is new to me. I removed the breaker plate from the distributor and started to replace parts.
Now for the trouble....After I disconnected the points and condenser and started to reassemble, I cant get the metal band spring on the moving point to hook up again. It physically looks impossible, but the new points are the same as the old ones.
Does anyone have any pictures or diagrams that I could look at while trying to put this thing back together, or maybe even some helpful tips? I apologize for sounding like an idiot, but this is my first experience with points.
