Not if they want it to actually work, they don't.
Hydraulic oil is like electricity. It takes the path of least resistance.
Normally, the oil is just pumped around and around in a big loop at low pressure. It sucks out of the reservoir, goes through the pump, runs through the open touch control valves, and dumps back into the reservoir.
There's no pressure. Pressure only develops if you activate one of the touch control valves to redirect the fluid into a touch control cylinder. Once the cylinder is moved, it goes back to the normal low-pressure loop.
If you just tee off the lines, you create two loops. As soon as you try to use the valve connected to those tees, all the fluid will just go the other way back into the reservoir.
Same goes if you try to tap off the pipe plugs in the hydraulic manifold on the reservoir. You've created two loops, and the fluid will always go down the path of least resistance to get to the reservoir.
A factory remote valve, or a bypass block, will maintain that single loop, but allow you to add another valve to that loop.
