Ken also states that not all tractors got the full package. Many got the inner bearing moved to be the outer bearing, which was scrapped, and the new inner bearing was a tapered roller bearing. When I bought my 1958 460 HU about 4 years ago, the axle had play in it. It did have the roller bearings. Due to cost I replaced then with ball bearings since it is highly unlikely it will ever see heavy use, certainly not by me. The serial tag does not have the triangle designating it had been fixed, so this could have been an owner modification and not part of the recall.
