If the tractor has not had the distributor removed, you are going to be OK. remove the plug closest to the radiator. crank the engine till air blows wour thumb off the hole. turn the engine with a long soda straw stuck down the hole. when the straw is at its highest, the rotor should be just almost past the terminal for that plug. Turning it just a bit more should cause a snapping sound, and the rotor will move farther. That should do it. JimN
