It will work fine on 6v pos ground. if pulled to start the mag will rotate well enough to make fire. Pull it in 3rd gear at about 2 to 3mph, no faster. Be sure to run a piece of wire up into the hole to the tank to assure fuel flow there. The wheel might be loose on the rim, and that will make the noise. The solenoid (relay)is not needed. a starter switch on the starter, with a pull rod, or a heavy amp starter switch at/next to, the dash is good also.
