The clutch disc I took out is black, smooth and shiny. I do not see cracks in it, but would say it is glazed and hardened looking. I had attempted to adjust the pedal and linkage per the manual, but could not get any more out of it. It had been slipping for a long time-so much that it would barely move in first gear after I would run it for a while.
There is no possible way this disc could ever be changed out without splitting the tractor. The disc is quite a bit larger than the clutch view opening. I had read on this board that possibly the clutch could be changed through the opening. This must work on the older Ms only-although I still don't understand how that can be done with the shaft running through the disc.
I will have the flywheel turned and will take a copy of this with the specs. I need to order a clutch kit. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get a good quality kit? Thanks.
